Itinerary
Pickups times vary depending on location but will begin at approx. 7am or 10am. After pickups, we will enjoy a quick stop halfway at a local family owned restaurant to give customers a chance to use the restroom, purchase a smoothie or empanada, before our scenic drive through Sierra Luquillo to the trailhead to begin our journey into El Yunque.
Upon arrival, a brief safety briefing will be given as well as life vests(yes, they are mandatory). The first 25min. portion of our hike we will stop several times along the trail to discuss El Yunque and its significance to Puerto Rico as well as local flora +fauna.
The second portion(water activities) are optional but highly encouraged, nonswimmers welcome* These include a natural volcanic rock slide, cliff jumps of various heights, and a rope swing!
After we finish taking pictures and enjoying the fresh cut seasonal fruit, we will hike back to our vehicles, rinse our shoes, and change for the final stop, an authentic Puerto Rican lunch(food not included in pricing).
Dropoffs usually finish around 1:30 or 4:30 depending on what time slot you selected.
What to Bring
- Comfortable and Supportive Closed-toe shoes to HIKE that may get wet/muddy (no water shoes or flip flops)
- Hiking attire that can get wet/muddy(swimming suits are optional however must already be on underneath your hiking clothes)
- Towel
- Comfortable change of clothes(optional for the ride home)
- Unnecessary items/baggage will be safe/locked in the vehicle
Skill Level and Participation
- We understand your desire to see the rainforest; however, this tour is catered to individuals who are regularly active and are eager to engage their bodies throughout their day (hiking, swimming, and light climbing are all included). Rainforest terrain may include muddy, slippery, uneven surfaces, natural pools, light rock-climbing, and steep inclines.
- It is YOUR responsibility to communicate to your tour guide any health issues and/or physical limitations(i.e., Injuries, recent surgeries) you may face.
- ANY guests who regularly face difficulty with severe breathing complications, epilepsy, and heart conditions are NOT allowed to engage in this excursion.
- We have tours catered to everyone! If these sound like some issues you deal with, consider booking one of our less strenuous tours!

Due to the high demand for our tour spaces, we maintain a FIRM 48-hour cancellation policy for ALL tours.
We prepare our vehicles, tour guides, and schedules ahead of time and accordingly.
