Itinerary

You will embark on a journey to the Cordillera Central of Puerto Rico, Utuado, one of the richest pueblos on the island known for its lush scenery, raw nature, and captivating history.

We will begin the day with a panoramic drive into the mountains of Borikén, to Parque Ceremonial Indígena de Caguana, an ancestral sacred ceremonial ground of the Taínos, where ceremonies are still done to this day. This archaeological site is the biggest of its kind in the Caribbean. The site has a newly renovated museum with original artifacts, displaying in-depth history of Puerto Rico’s various indigenous cultures.

After diving deep into Puerto Rico’s indigenous roots, we will continue to a pristine river, where Taíno petroglyphs can be found in the face of various rocks and cliffs. Here you can swim, jump from the rocks, or relax and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding Utuado mountains. (Weather permitting)

Our final stop will be at a completely off the grid, organic, permaculture farm, where you will receive a tour of a one-of-a-kind, Superadobe structure, completely built from the earth on which it stands.

The day will end with a delicious farm-to-table meal with local crops that are unique to Puerto Rico’s cuisine.
